Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement
Infinity Journal of Medicine and Innovation (IJMI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to publishing high-quality research in the fields of medicine and biomedical innovation. The journal adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity.
I. General Provisions
The editorial team is fully committed to ensuring the scientific validity, originality, and relevance of all published articles. The journal supports global ethical standards and aims to contribute to scientific development both locally and internationally.
To uphold these values, IJMI follows the core recommendations of:
- ICMJE: Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals

- CSE: White Paper on Promoting Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications

II. Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for:
- Upholding editorial quality and ethical publishing standards.
- Ensuring submitted articles align with the journal’s aims and scope.
- Appointing editorial board members based on expertise and academic ethics.
- Making final decisions on manuscripts (acceptance, revision, rejection) based on reviewers' evaluations and editorial judgment.
- Ensuring that any submissions authored by the Editor-in-Chief are subject to independent peer review.
III. Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
Editorial Board Members are selected for renewable three-year terms and are responsible for:
- Reviewing submissions within their areas of expertise.
- Participating in strategic editorial meetings.
- Promoting the journal at relevant conferences and academic forums.
- Submitting high-quality research or review articles.
- Complying with international publication ethics.
- Ethically sharing the journal’s work through academic and social platforms.
IV. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are experts selected to provide unbiased, constructive evaluations. They are responsible for:
- Submitting timely and evidence-based reviews.
- Disclosing any conflicts of interest.
- Reporting any signs of plagiarism or duplicate submission.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Suggesting improvements and ethical citations where appropriate.
- Indicating clearly whether a manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
Reviewers may list their reviews on ORCID and Publons, and their contributions may be acknowledged annually.
V. Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting to IJMI must:
- Submit original, properly cited, and scientifically valid work.
- Avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
- Follow EQUATOR Network reporting guidelines.
- Disclose authorship contributions and any external editorial assistance.
- Confirm ethical committee approval and participant consent for human research.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest and funding sources.
- Ensure their work is not under review elsewhere.
- Promote their published work ethically on academic networks and social platforms.
